We talk to Marshall Shepherd, Georgia Athletic Association Distinguished Professor of Atmospheric Sciences and Geography at the University of Georgia, about getting stung by a honeybee, appearing in front of Congress at NASA's behest, and the ivory tower in science and academia. He was also a past AMS president and we talk about that leadership experience.
